The Ceremony
the painted hall
Our day starts in the magical Painted Hall within the Old Royal Naval College, often referred to as Britain's version of the Sistine Chapel! Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and painted by Sir James Thornhill, the hall took 19 years to complete and opened in 1726.
We are so excited to be getting married in such a historic and beautiful venue. The doors to The Painted Hall will open at 4pm sharp, with guests expected to be seated prior to 4:15pm for a 4:30pm ceremony. Don't forget to look up at the beautiful painted ceiling on your way in!
until the big day!
Dinner
After the ceremony we'll head outside to the Colonnades within the grounds for cocktail hour. The Bride & Groom will have their portraits during this time, let's hope we can make it back in time for a glass of champagne!
Dinner will be served back inside the Painted Hall at 6:30pm sharp. We'll start with the speeches, followed by a sit down meal. Plenty of time to line your stomach!
Reception
After dinner, you will be lead downstairs underneath the Painted Hall to the Queen Mary Undercroft which will serve as the space for our evening reception.
Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to dance the night away! Our evening reception will start at 8:45pm and we will have a live band and DJ playing into the early hours.
The celebrations will end at 1:00am for anyone still standing!
